Originally from Perth, Australia, Jess McAvoy is a nonbinary multimedia artist with almost three decades of experience as an acclaimed singer/songwriter. Most recently they completed their fifth full length studio album: American Dreaming set for release in 2024.

Pulled from the transformations of their own life as a trans, immigrant artist, McAvoy weaves a musical homage to the shifting selves in each of us and our quest for authentic self expression. The Search- performed solo by McAvoy themself- is a contagiously vulnerable, genre-bending performance that asks the questions: Who do you think you are? And, what do you want to become? Themes: Addiction, CPTSD, Queer Liberation and Transformation
